This policy explains what personal data we collect through taberwaterdisposal.com. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect
When you email us. Your email address, your name if given, and the content of your message. Used to reply and to act on corrections.
Server logs. Requests to the server, including IP address, user agent, page requested and time. Used for security and diagnostics.
Analytics. Where used, configured for aggregate traffic measurement rather than individual profiling.
Advertising and embedded content. Third parties may collect data under their own policies, which we do not control. See our cookie policy.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not operate a mailing list that adds you without asking. The contact form opens your own email client rather than posting data to us, so nothing reaches our servers unless you send the message.
Legal basis and applicable law
We operate from Canada. The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act may apply to our handling of personal information. Where visitors are in the UK or EU, we rely on legitimate interests for server logs and aggregate analytics, and on consent for non-essential cookies.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept while it remains useful for handling the matter and any follow-up, then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and diagnostics. Aggregate analytics contain no identifying information.
Who it is shared with
Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf in serving the site. Advertising and analytics providers, where used, act under their own policies. We do not otherwise share personal data except where legally required.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to us through the contact page. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or to your own data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Updates appear here with a new date.
